Dear Miles,
Although technically you are 6 and a half months, I am writing you your 6 month letter now. Time slips by so quickly now that both Mommy and Daddy are back at work. You are still growing so fast. You are 19 lbs and 28 inches. You are wearing size 3 diapers and size 9 and 12 month clothing - bye bye 6 months! I can't believe you were only 7.5 pounds when you were born. You roll over all the time now, in fact you prefer to be on your belly. You sit up like a champ and love to play with your toys - especially Sophie and your stacking rings. You still love your jumparoo - that cracks you up.
The dogs still crack you up and you laugh any time you get raspberries on your belly. You have taken a few small crawl steps, we are anxious for the big move, it should be any time. You like to do the down ward dog pose and constantly are rocking back and forth on your hands and knees. You started swimming lessons last week and seem to love it, you are already kicking and splashing. You rediscovered your voice and talk and talk and talk. Sometimes you look so serious. You still love your solid foods - green bean casserole and anything orange are your favorites. Still no luck with anything mommy cooks - that just doesn't work for you. You really love your daddy now, at first you didn't want to sleep in your daddy's arms, but now there are times when mommy won't do and daddy is all you want. We started running with you and you seem to really enjoy it, you just sit back and cruise while mommy and daddy do all the work. At the end of the month we do our first race in Portland.
I can't believe you are getting so big and so old. You are the light of our lives and we just love you so much.
Love,
Mommy
