Dahlia Festival

One of the most amazing things about this area is the diverse crops that grow in our region. It seems like there is a festival for EVERYTHING! One of my favorite festivals is the last weekend of August and first weekend of September. The Swan Island Dahlia festival is really incredible - it doesn't help that Dahlia's are my favorite flower.

Spring Walk

The weather is finally getting better so Miles and I have been taking long walks into town. The flowers are just amazing and not to mention a walk will always make someone a bit sleepy.

Spring is finally coming

Spring is finally coming. I am so ready for the sun, especially since I am pretty house bound. We haven't had much time to do gardening at our house, but do have some great lilac trees in the back - so I am excitedly picking flowers for our house.
