More time

You would think since I have been off all summer I would have time to update the blog daily - at least weekly. It is amazing how busy life is with a toddler and being pregnant. Pregnancy was much easier the first time around. How I long for the days I can take a nap when I want because I am tired. We have been really busy so far between finishing up projects on the house - the kitchen is almost done, and the back playroom is on its way - and some short trips, there has been little time for relaxation.



After our quick trip to Tahoe, we spent 4th of July at home. Ashland sure goes all out for the holiday. We went to the local parade and street fair - although I hear it is much more tame than it once was. We were able to see fireworks from our front porch - which was nice, especially since Miles goes to bed around 7:30.






The past 2 weeks we went to Britt concerts one to see Sara Bareilles and then once to see KD Lang (an early birthday present for my dad). We also went to the county fair, Miles had a great time - no rides of course, but he sure loves the animals and the trucks, tractors anything with wheels. We often joke a fun day for him would be a trip to a tire store.






Last weekend we took our last trip as a 3-some to Portland. That was an event. Friday night at midnight Miles woke up screaming and burning up, so we took a trip to the emergency room, awhile later and a diagnosis of an ear infection we were back at the hotel tired as can be. But we all stuck it out and took a trip to the zoo and the Saturday market, and some general hanging out. Miles enjoyed the Max line and was obsessed with all the animals at the zoo.
