it is amazing how much better you can feel after a sunny weekend (even if it was just one day). we went up to the zoo (like 1/2 of portland) and had a great time checking out the animals and of course a ride on the train. we spent yesterday working around the house, finally planting some flowers so we can get a little color around here. we are planning miles' birthday party next friday - it should be fun, avengers theme of course. only 2 weeks until spring break and i think everyone is ready - me, my students, my assistants, my colleagues, mike, the kids....we are going to head up to seattle for a few days before my parents come to visit and to celebrate all the brithdays (ugh...another year gone by and a few more wrinkles to show for it).
